That life must search for higher and more meaningful existence rather than only material achievements as measure of success is not taught and discussed in any school or homes these days. The race is only for how much, how soon, and means don't matter. Thanks for this insight into Pacci or Pachai which ever?

well written article. after living in america for almost a decade now, I see how true is, as you put it, "unhinged pursuit of artha and kama for its own sake" here.

such is the way of life here, as sri krishna had said "kama esh krodha esh rajoguna samudbhava, mahashano mahapapma vidhu enam iham vairinam"

keep writing.

Not at all surprised by actions of middle class Indians who made it big in US/Europe/Gulf etc...

I hope the next generation of Indians who grow up abroad and born wealthy Indians begin to look beyond material happiness that is limited.

I hate this tendency of Indians to celebrate someone who has done little to advocate for their priorities and sometimes actively works against them. It seems we haven't woken up from our Gandhian stupor and continue suicidal admiration of such people.
